Nishita Karun is a Research Communications Specialist at the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth, where she translates complex academic and policy research into accessible narratives and data visualizations that inform public understanding and decision-making. She has extensive experience at the intersection of research, design, and public policy, having consulted with organizations such as the World Bank, Government of India, UNICEF, and WHO. Her work has supported large-scale initiatives to strengthen digital governance systems, enhance ease of doing business, and improve public health outcomes across India.
Before joining the Institute full-time, Nishita supported research communication efforts at the Energy Policy Institute (EPIC) and the World Bank’s Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) team. She holds a B.A. in Design with a specialization in Human-Centered Design and Research and a MPP from the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy.
