As Multimedia Designer, Jacob leads visual and graphic design on the communications team. He produces all visual content for the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth, including photo, video, and graphics for our digital and print platforms. Before joining the Institute, Jacob served as Lead Graphics Editor and Senior Photo Editor at the Daily Mail’s New York City newsroom. His wide-ranging career spans producing branded video content for spirits companies and animal welfare organizations, designing websites and visual identities for internationally recognized artists, and contributing to prop and set design on feature films. He is passionate about using visual storytelling to distill complex ideas into compelling, accessible stories, and is excited to bring that passion to advancing climate policy, research, and education at the University of Chicago.

A Seattle native, Jacob is an alumnus of the University of Washington and the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Jacob now resides in Chicago with his wife, Cara, a textile and surface designer, and their two cats Pip and Gus, gifted textile and surface destroyers.
