She brings a strong commitment to social impact and aims to leverage her academic and professional experiences to advance the adoption of climate technology in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.

Eliza is co-editor in chief of the UChicago Sustainability Dialogue and attended COP30 in November 2025 as part of the Institute’s student delegation.

“It was inspiring, exciting, and encouraging to see collaboration and action from government, private sector, and civil society across countries. There were US business leaders who said they were continuing sustainability efforts and climate goals because they understand the stakes despite the US federal government moving away from clean energy and decarbonization. This was “the COP of implementation” and it was fascinating to see countries go from high-level strategy to actually getting things done on the ground. Unsurprisingly, funding is the greatest implementation challenge, and I loved the conversations between public and private sector leaders about how to reduce the cost of capital to increase the availability and speed of climate financing.”
