Jim Franke’s research focuses on the impacts of climate change and climate interventions. At CSEi, Jim is currently focusing on the engineering challenges of solar radiation management implementation at both local and global scale. Jim received his PhD in Geosciences from the University of Chicago. Prior to UChicago, Jim worked as a professional engineer in control systems and received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Milwaukee School of Engineering.
