Eugene McCarty

Eugene McCarty is a 3rd year undergraduate student in the college double majoring in Molecular Engineering on the Chemical Engineering track and Economics on the Business Economics track. He has a background in engineering lab research but is moving into the field of consulting. He is interested in novel research in renewable energy technologies as well as impact investing and climate financing. On campus, he’s on the board of the Sustainable Investing Club and a bass player in the University Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, this past fall, he went to COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan as part of the University of Chicago Student Delegation.
