Tony Jiang is a Master of Public Policy candidate at the University of Chicago, specializing in energy and finance policy. His research focuses on the intersection of environmental sustainability and financial markets. As a Research Assistant at the Booth School of Business, he has studied water pollution in the semiconductor industry, examining the environmental impact of wastewater discharge from chip manufacturing and potential regulatory interventions. He also gained hands-on experience in energy finance as a Summer Analyst at JP Morgan Asset Management, where he analyzed clean energy investment trends and sustainable infrastructure projects. Originally from Taiwan, a leader in AI and semiconductor industries, Tony is particularly interested in how technology and policy frameworks can drive the energy transition. He hopes to bridge UChicago’s policy and finance expertise with Taiwan’s evolving energy landscape, contributing to policy discussions and investment strategies for a sustainable future.
