CERAWeek 2026 Attendee

Sofía Kosterlitz is a first-year MBA student at Chicago Booth and a Polsky Energy Scholar. Originally from Chile, she has focused her career on innovation at the intersection of technology and business. She has worked in innovation consulting, at a fintech startup, and most recently at Copec, a major Chilean energy company with regional operations in Latin America, where she helped develop and scale digital product initiatives to improve operational efficiency. She is particularly interested in how digital technologies and innovative business models can accelerate the energy transition and support established energy companies in adapting to a low-carbon future.

“Attending CERAWeek was a deeply enriching experience that broadened my understanding of the global energy landscape. I especially valued connecting with fellow NextGen students, whose diverse perspectives made conversations both insightful and inspiring. I truly enjoyed learning how geopolitical dynamics, alongside advances in technology and AI, are shaping the future of the energy transition. As an international student, I also appreciated gaining insight into how energy projects are developed in the U.S., along with the country’s unique opportunities and challenges. A highlight for me was connecting with professionals from Microsoft, where I will be interning this summer, making the experience especially personal and rewarding.”
