“Our 3 week program with the Institute was more than what I could have hoped for. In Gujarat, while engaging with the Ahmedabad University students, we learnt about the city’s different climate vulnerabilities and the process of coming to a solution. Further, we went on many visits from monuments like Gandhi Ashram to the Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) where we saw how locals adapt to the climate change taking place. In Delhi, we visited companies that have taken it upon themselves to better the climate. Lohum industries was particularly interesting to see how they are reusing batteries. While learning, I made many friends that made the program memorable.”
