“I chose to continue my education at Harris because I wanted to go beyond understanding climate and energy challenges and learn how to actually design policies that can address them. Through my time at Berkeley and my professional experiences, I realized that the energy transition is not just a technological challenge. Decisions around electricity markets, incentives, infrastructure, and financing shape which projects get built and, just as importantly, who benefits from them. Harris stood out to me because the MSCEP program combines strong quantitative training with real-world climate and energy policy, while institutions like EPIC show how research can directly inform policy. Since I ultimately hope to work on energy transitions in developing economies like India, Harris felt like the right place to build the skills I need to make that kind of impact.”
