India Summer Fellow, 2026
Ramse Jefferson is a first-year molecular engineering major in the College (’29). Ramse is interested in how molecular engineering and biotechnology can address health and sustainability challenges. His experience with drug delivery systems sparked his curiosity about how biological and chemical innovations, such as nanoparticle-based therapies and immunology, can bring about more sustainable medical solutions. Ramse is passionate about exploring the intersection between climate, medicine, and engineering. He hopes to use scientific advancements to improve human health and contribute to a more sustainable future.
“The program opened my eyes to how diverse current work in the climate and sustainability space is. We took classes ranging from economics and policy to public health and development, which gave me a wider breadth of knowledge to call upon when searching for solutions. The program was also an amazing reminder that nothing can happen in isolation. Being a part of such a diverse, dedicated group sparked brilliant ideas I would have never considered on my own. Leaving the program I’m eager to take everything I’ve learned to start making change now.”
