Matt Bolden is the Associate Director of Policy and Strategic Engagement at the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth. Prior to this, he served as a Senior Climate Policy Advisor for the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW) where he covered market-based climate policies for the committee and its Ranking Member, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse. Before that, he was the Chief of Staff and Director of Policy and Government Relations at the Climate Leadership Council where he worked with a coalition of environmental organizations and companies to build bipartisan support for climate action. He started his career as a financial analyst at SURF Capital, where he underwrote investments in green tech, real estate, and community development projects. Matt earned a BA in Environmental Studies with a minor in Physical Sciences from Yale-NUS College: an international liberal arts college established through a partnership between Yale University and the National University of Singapore.
