Lonnie Chambers is joining as a Human Resources Generalist for the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth. He most recently worked as a Recruiter and Administrative Assistant for Discover Financial Services, where he was the lead project manager tasked with building a new Corporate Risk Management business unit. He specializes in assisting potential job seekers to become more marketable candidates and enjoys leading initiatives that aim to provide positive experiences for those in need. Previously, Lonnie worked in various roles including HR Employee Relations, Constituent Services for the City of Chicago’s 17th Ward, and an internship with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Lonnie is a Chicago native and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, gardening and being outdoors, and coaching youth/high school sports programs.
