Evan Zhang is a sophomore from Houston, Texas. Zhang is excited to be a part of the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth’s India Summer Fellows program because he is interested in learning more about how climate change and renewable energy infrastructure impacts developing countries.

“Having the opportunity to visit India with the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth was a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget. Immersing myself with traditional Indian cultures while getting a better understanding of the specific climate change issues that India faces allowed me to have a better perspective of how we can impact sustainable growth on a global scale. It was incredible to work alongside the students at Ahmedabad University, and being able to collaborate with students from different backgrounds was a privilege. This fellowship not only strengthen my career pursuits in climate change, but also gave me a more humanistic outlook on climate change and how it affects us.”
