David Foley

David I. Foley is a Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Blackstone Energy Transition Partners, where he is responsible for overseeing Blackstone’s private equity investment activities in the energy sector on a global basis. Since joining Blackstone in 1995, Foley has been responsible for building the Blackstone energy practice and has played an integral role in every energy-related private equity investment that the firm has made. Prior to his work at Blackstone, Foley worked with AEA Investors, and as a management consultant for Monitor Company. Foley serves as a member of the Board of Directors for several companies, including Accel International, Advanced Cooling Technologies, Kinetik, Sediver and Viridon. Foley received a B.A. and M.A. in Economics, with honors, from Northwestern University and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
