Claudia Gemmel is a Communications Specialist at the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth at the University of Chicago. Fluent in five languages (German, English, French, Czech, and Spanish), Claudia is seasoned in political communication, advocacy, and translation. Before joining the Institute, she held various roles at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris. Passionate about building bridges and a strategic thinker, she managed communication, outreach, and media strategies on topics encompassing development affairs, global relations, financial and business matters, as well as public affairs. Claudia holds a BA (Hons) in Political and Social Sciences from the University of Wales (UK), an MSc in European Union Politics and Law from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland), and a Master’s in Communication from the Paris Institute of Political Studies, SciencesPo (France). Having studied and worked across Europe, Claudia brings a nuanced cultural awareness that transcends national borders.
