Aarini Sheth is a rising second-year student at the University of Chicago, majoring in Climate and Sustainable Growth and Economics. She is passionate about climate technology research and energy policy and is actively involved in the Sustainable Investing Group and the Energy and Climate Club on campus. Previously, Aarini has gained valuable experience in financial market research and investment analysis through internships.

Having grown up in Ahmedabad, she witnessed firsthand the city’s rising temperatures and understands the urgency for climate action. Through the Summer Fellows Program, Aarini aims to gain deeper insight into solving Ahmedabad’s heat crisis. What excites her most about sustainability is its holistic impact; it’s not just an economic issue but also a social one, making the industry the apt crossroads between two of the most important ideals of her life. Aarini looks forward to using her skills and perspectives to advance sustainable solutions and make a positive contribution at the program.
