Join us for a student research presentation on Geoengineering Nuclear Winter!
In a hypothetical nuclear exchange, nuclear winter may be a far more lethal result than the actual detonations themselves. Drawing on proposed techniques developed in geoengineering research to offset carbon emissions, the Nuclear Winter Geoengineering Project team at XLab is developing a set of candidate approaches to mitigate stratospheric soot and modify the radiation budget in a post-detonation environment. This presentation will provide a short overview of XLab’s current work and its future direction.
