About the Program
Last year, the Harris School of Public Policy and the UChicago Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth launched a groundbreaking new degree: the Master of Science in Climate and Energy Policy (MSCEP)—a one-year, full-time program designed to prepare the next generation of leaders tackling the global climate and energy challenge.
The MSCEP program blends Harris’ analytical rigor and policy expertise with the Institute’s bold Chicago Curriculum on Climate and Sustainable Growth—equipping students to:
- Understand complex climate and energy systems
- Apply data and science to real-world policy
- Balance climate risk with economic growth and access to reliable energy
- Lead across sectors—from government to industry to nonprofits
With hands-on learning, expert faculty, and direct access to UChicago’s cutting-edge research ecosystem, MSCEP grads will be positioned to make a serious impact.
