Where to Plant for Maximum Return?  A Spatial Carbon Investment Framework for U.S. Cities

Street trees across five major U.S. cities represent an enormous and largely unmapped carbon asset in which city planners and green infrastructure investors have no reliable framework to prioritize. This study changes that, delivering neighborhood scale carbon stock estimates and a spatially explicit investment targeting framework that identifies exactly where tree canopy expansion returns the most carbon per dollar.
