Adalberto Fuentes is an MBA student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with professional experience in the energy sector across oil, refined products, and energy logistics in Mexico and the United States. Prior to Booth, he worked in business development and operations, leading cross-border fuel supply chains, developing analytical tools for pricing and logistics, and launching new market operations for U.S.-based energy firms in Mexico. He is currently focused on the energy transition, with particular interest in renewable fuels, sustainable supply chains, and the intersection of energy, policy, and emerging markets.
“During sessions at CERAWeek, I gained valuable insight into global energy trends, including the renewed interest in nuclear energy, advancements in geothermal technologies, and the growing role of AI in shaping energy demand and operations. I was particularly interested in the increasing importance of biofuels and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as practical pathways to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors. It was also notable how technology companies are becoming central players due to the energy demands of data centers and AI infrastructure. These insights connect closely with my MBA studies at ChicagoBooth, and I am especially enjoying engaging with industry leaders and exchanging perspectives in Houston.”
