Advanced Materials with Low-carbon Intensity

Advanced Materials with Low-carbon Intensity

Research and development of advanced materials offers considerable potential to provide disruptions to support energy efficiency or reduce embodied carbon. Applications could be widespread, for example supporting energy storage, advanced nuclear, building construction and insulation, AI chips or heat management. What are the most promising advanced materials for low-carbon energy applications? How might these advances support operational and energy or efficiency and sustainability What kinds of support are needed to drive innovation in these materials to commercial scale?
