Becca Ward is joining as the Chief of Staff for the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth. Most recently, she served in multiple roles at the U.S. Department of Energy, including as the Chief of Staff for the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC) and as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Senate Affairs. Previously, Becca served as the Managing Director of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI), driving programmatic growth and establishing the Chicago office in 2020. She also served in the U.S. Senate from 2013-2019, leading climate, energy, and infrastructure policy for Senator Jeff Merkley. Becca is from Portland, Oregon, and holds a BA in Public Policy and Energy Technology and Environmental Impact from Duke University.
