During my summer internship with the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority’s (WAPDA) Power Wing, I focused on renewable energy and environmental sustainability projects. Initially planned as a hybrid internship, it transitioned to fully remote due to senior leadership traveling for conferences. Despite the remote nature, I contributed to significant project development, including analyzing data to support strategies for improving energy efficiency and environmental stewardship. One key highlight was presenting my findings to senior management, where I provided insights on renewable energy solutions aligned with WAPDA’s strategic sustainability goals. This remote experience allowed me to sharpen my communication skills and apply my academic knowledge to real-world challenges in the energy sector, making it both a rewarding and impactful opportunity.
