Yash Chaudhary is a student in the Master of Science in Climate and Energy Policy program at the Harris School of Public Policy. An engineer by training and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, he spent 10+ years delivering energy infrastructure and carrying out technical due-diligence. Yash is interested in energy policy and finance, and in strategies that cut emissions while protecting the communities that depend on energy for their livelihoods.
“As an engineer with extensive experience in the energy sector, I have observed a critical disconnect — policymakers often lack ground-level understanding of energy transition economics, while industry practitioners struggle to translate their expertise into effective policy advocacy. Harris will equip me to bridge this gap. I plan to develop analytical skills to rigorously evaluate policies, quantify energy transition pathways, and assess the economic and technical risks associated with each route, enabling better-informed decision-making on both sides.”
