Sebastian Fairbairn

Sebastian is a rising second-year in the College from outside of Boston, intending to major in
history and economics. His Peruvian background augments his interest in confronting the
challenges of development for emerging economies while prioritizing sustainability and equity.
At the University of Chicago, Sebastian is involved with Fed Challenge and the Neighborhood
Schools Program, and enjoys attending meetings of the UC Geography Club and Transit
Enthusiasts Club. In his free time he likes to read—in preparation for India he is making his way
through Shattered Lands—visit museums, and listen to music around campus
