During my summer internship at Gandipet Welfare Society, an NGO focused on promoting a clean environment, I had the opportunity to work on Waste-to-Energy technology. I was involved in both the technical aspects of the project and in building partnerships with community members and corporate stakeholders. The internship was based in Hyderabad, India from June 2024 to August 2024.
In addition to the project, I also gained valuable experience in project coordination and stakeholder engagement. I helped organize workshops and meetings with local communities to raise awareness about sustainable waste practices and the benefits of clean energy solutions. I also worked closely with corporate partners to explore potential funding opportunities and expand the scope of the project. This experience strengthened my skills in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving, while deepening my understanding of how environmental initiatives can be scaled through multi-stakeholder partnerships. This experience allowed me to contribute to sustainable waste management solutions while fostering collaborations that enhanced the NGO’s environmental initiatives. It was a rewarding experience where I was able to engage in meaningful work and see the positive impact of our efforts.
