Darya Tsymbalyuk is an interdisciplinary scholar, and her practice includes writing and image-making. Most of Darya’s work lies at the intersection of environmental humanities and artistic research. She is a recipient of the Mary Zirin Prize from the Association of Women in Slavic Studies (2023), and the author of multiple articles in environmental humanities, which appeared in Antennae: Journal of Nature in Visual Culture, Narrative Culture, Environment & Society Portal: Arcadia, Springs: Rachel Carson Center Review, to name a few. Her book “Ecocide in Ukraine: The Environmental Cost of Russia’s War” is forthcoming with Polity Press in 2025.
