The University of Chicago’s Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth and the University of Hong Kong’s Jockey Club Enterprise Sustainability Global Research Institute are pleased to announce a call for applications for the HKU-UChicago Collaborative Sustainability and Climate Research Fund, an effort supporting collaborative research on key topics related to sustainability and climate.

Application Details & Criteria
The Fund offers up to US$50,000 (or HK$390,000) grants per project to support collaborative research between the two schools on key topics in sustainability and climate. Each application should be jointly submitted by one UChicago tenure track faculty and one HKU professoriate staff as joint Principal Investigators.
Please submit the following documents via email to both Institutes (email: esgri@hku.hk and climate@uchicago.edu) by May 31, 2026. Review the selection criteria and application requirements outlined in the attached guidelines before submitting.

- Preliminary research proposal
- 2-page CV of each Principal Investigator
Applicants will be notified of the results by July 2026.
