The Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth at the University of Chicago is proud to sponsor its first delegation of UChicago College students to attend Climate Week NYC in September 2025. During three days of events across New York City, students will have the opportunity to hear from global leaders, attend cutting-edge industry discussions, and network with established and upcoming leaders in their fields.

About Climate Week 2025

Climate Week NYC is a world-leading global climate event, bringing together leaders from the world of business, tech, politics, academia, and civil society. Climate Week NYC 2025 will be held September 21-28, 2025. The Institute delegation will attend the first three days of events.

The Climate Week NYC Opening Ceremony will feature major announcements, discussions, and interviews with international leadership from business, government, and the climate community. The Hub Live, Climate Week NYC’s interactive program, will bring together heads of government, business leaders and experts to delve deeper into some of the world’s most urgent climate obstacles, policies and solutions. In three flagship, plenary sessions and dozens of breakouts, side events and roundtables, they will unpack today’s foremost climate and energy issues.

The Climate Week NYC Events Program will host more than 900 events, activations, campaigns and engagement opportunities. Speakers include Hon. Ralph Regenvanu, Minister of Climate Change of the Republic of Vanuatu; Stuart Haselden, CEO of Arc’teryx; and Professor Patrick V. Verkooijen, President and CEO of the Global Center on Adaptation.
